Firstly, a very warm welcome to the website of The PAUL GODDING Maths Roadshow.

As ‘the UK’s leading provider of fun and effective mathematical activities’, we are primarily concerned with improving children’s mental arithmetic skills and, just as important, feeding their enthusiasm towards maths through innovative programmes, mainly delivered in schools.

Paul Godding is a qualified and experienced mathematician whose background covers over 20 years teaching in mathematics education, at all levels and all ages.

The main objective of the organisation is to focus on ensuring that mathematics and numeracy is made fun for children by delivering exciting educational activities.  This is successfully achieved by utilising appropriate resources that can be used in the home environment as well as in the classroom. 

We are very different to other educational organisations in that the programmes are delivered entirely through the use of these excellent mathematical games.  We can also act as a consultant in an advisory capacity regarding the use of these educational games, particularly in schools.  We always strongly encourage parents to become closely involved with the education of their children, outside school hours, by using these excellent resources in a fun and non-threatening way at home.

As well as being ideal for use at home in a social context, the maths games are extremely beneficial for those children who are educated at home.  As there are around 90,000 children who fall into that category in the UK, it is hoped that many home educators will take advantage of these excellent games by making contact.  We can advise which games are most appropriate for each individual situation.

To briefly give you an idea of the website's contents, all our activities are described in the Educational Programmes section, including our brand-new Thinking Skills programme for 2008.

The resources used when delivering our various activities are also described fully on this site. Many of these are number-related games, plus those that require logic, strategy and spatial-awareness. We also utilise an exciting range of card games that can help with children's concentration and the development of their thought process. The final page of the Games & Puzzles section contains a wide range of fun puzzles for the whole family. All these resources can be purchased by schools and individuals from our organisation.
